BIWAPP, short for Citizens Information & Warning App, delivers current information, alerts, and disaster notifications for your selected locations and the surrounding area directly to your smartphone. Customize which topics you want to be informed about, such as school closures, traffic accidents, fires, floods, bomb disposal, or general warnings. All messages are written and generated by your municipality. The type of information posted is solely decided by your local authorities, ensuring you stay up-to-date with all important announcements in your region.

 <li>Messages: Receive information and warning messages from your region directly from your municipality.</li>
 <li>My Locations: Choose an unlimited number of places to receive information for and specify the radius through convenient list or map selection.</li>
 <li>Emergency Call: Connect directly with the police and fire department.</li>
 <li>Location Services in Emergencies: Display your current location (alternative provision of geocoordinates if outdoors).</li>
 <li>Guardian Function: Activate to receive messages and information for your current location either by push notification or directly.</li>
 <li>Weather Service: Get German Weather Service reports directly on BIWAPP.</li>
 <li>Topics Covered: Includes fire incidents, chemical accidents, school closures, epidemics, landslides, traffic accidents, public emergencies, warnings, floods, severe weather alerts from DWD, bomb findings, information, avalanches, police alerts.</li>
 <li>Medical On-Call Service: Direct link to the Medical On-Call Service page with essential information.</li>
 <li>All Clear Function: Mark messages as resolved; receive a push notification upon resolution directly related to the message.</li>
 <li>Tips and Behavior Guidelines: Provided by the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance.</li>
 <li>Important Information: For preventive measures and self-help during specific hazards.</li>
 <li>Customizations: Different alert tones for messages and disasters; share messages with friends; recommend feature.</li>
